Where to stay

Our recommendation is to stay in the city centre (possibly around Marina or Castello) and on this page we are going to suggest various accommodation options, indicating the price range, the location and some good reasons for you to stay there. Just click on the name to get a link to the hotel.

If anybody has other recommendations, please feel free to share them with the rest of our guests in the comment section below!

CITY CENTRE

Hotel Due Colonne, Via Sardegna, Cagliari
€€
A very nice hotel in the super-central Via Sardegna. From here, you can see the seafront and the City Council where our ceremony is taking place. It is also a short walking distance from all the main attractions in the city.

PLEASE NOTE!!! This hotel has kindly made 10 double bedrooms available for our guests at a special price, so hurry up!!! When you book, specify that you will be taking part in our celebrations on 6th September to avail of the offer.

Via Sardegna, Concert on the square

Hotel Italia, Via Sardegna, Cagliari
€€
Located in the neighbourhood of Marina, this hotel is literally across the road from the city council (ceremony location). Very close to restaurants and bars, this hotel is one of the oldest in town and it has been recently renovated.

Piazzetta Savoia, Marina
Hotel Regina Margherita, Viale Regina Margherita, Cagliari
€€€
Located at the opposite end of Marina to Hotel Italia, but still extremely central, this hotel (previously known as La Scala di Ferro) is where D.H. Lawrence stayed during his travels in Sardinia, described on his book "Sea and Sardinia".

Centro Storico Via Manno B&B, Vico Manno, Cagliari
€ - €€
In the heart of Marina and a couple of minutes walking from one of the main shopping streets in the city (Via Manno).

Piazzetta Savoia, Marina
L'Antica Torre B&B, Via dei Genovesi, Cagliari
€ - €€
This B&B can be found in Castello, which is one the oldest (and highest) parts of the city. Other than the suburb views of the sea and city, there are many excellent restaurants and bars on your doorstep and only a 10 minute walk downhill to Marina, the port and bus/train station. For those who don't fancy the climb back uphill after dinner (or before!), there is an elevator that works until 2 am...

Via dei Genovesi, Castello

Casa Mundula, Via Barcellona, Cagliari
€-€€
Located in a lively street in the heart of Marina; the perfect spot to enjoy an outdoor digestivo after dinner. The limoncello is always good, but while in Sardinia you should try the local mirto, which is distilled from myrtle berries.

Via Barcellona, Marina
B&B  Garibaldi, Via Garibaldi, Cagliari

Located in the central pedestrian street of the city (and one of the main shopping areas), this B&B is only a few steps away from Castello (through Bastione di San Remy) and less than 10 minutes away from Marina.

Hostel Marina, Piazza San Sepolcro, Cagliari

The recently refurbished (and very popular) youth hostel is located in the heart of Marina, in one of the most picturesque squares of the city. The bar is very nice and is one of our favourite places to enjoy a beer while sitting on the big steps to the square.

POETTO - ON THE BEACH!

Hotel Chentu Lunas, Piazza degli arcipelaghi, Cagliari
€€
Across the road from the little port of Marina Piccola and the very popular "Prima Fermata", one of trendiest spots on the long beach. From here, it's 15 minutes bus-ride from Via Roma and Marina.

Marina Piccola, Poetto

Hotel Poetto, Via Monte Cristo 5, Cagliari
€€
On a lane just off the main lungomare (promenade), this hotel is only a few steps from the beach.

Summer on the beach
B&B La Sella del diavolo, Via dei Villini, Cagliari

On the street that runs parallel to the lungomare, less than a minute from the sand. Breakfast is served at the beach bar with the same name across the road. This is one of our summertime favourites :-)

Smiley sandy face!
